Francis Forton played a match of 4.000 average and made a run of 21

SINT NIKLAAS - The Belgian player Francis Forton had a moment of glory and a moment of sadness in about three hours. The three cushion player from Brussels realized for himself in the VES tournament in Sint Niklaas two records in one match. He finished his 40 points match with Johan Loncelle in only ten innings and made a run of 21 in his third inning.

His opponent, Johan Loncelle, had three points on the scoreboard in nine innings when Forton finished, but he made a run of eight in the equalizer.

,,The match in ten innings was a record for me, the run of 21 as well'', Forton told after the game. ,,My shortest match until now was in eleven innings, my highest run was twenty. Against Johan Loncelle I missed the acquit, then I made two and then 21. And I finished the match with a run of eight.''

On the same evening however Francis Forton was defeated by Frédéric Caudron with a hugh score. His opponent made the forty points inb twenty innings, Forton made only fourteen points.

The tournament in Sint Niklaas is called the GP Jef van der Meersch. The semi finals and the final are played on Friday 17th of December.
