TURNHOUT - The Belgian competition for teams again had a spectacular performance on monday evening. Frans van Kuyk, who plays for Biljart Expres in Turnhout, beat Ronny Brants in a sublime match. The Dutchman not only finished the 50 points in 13 innings but also had a glorious moment with a run of 27. Henk Habraken last week had a match of high caliber with a run of 25.

Frans van Kuyk has always been a delightful player, but in his last years he does'nt take part in international tournaments like World cups. He only plays competition with teams, in Holland with Crystal Kelly, in Belgium with Biljart Expres, where he plays with Gerwin Valentijn, Guy van Litsemborg and Johan Claessen.

The Turnhout-team beat Koninklijke Kortrijkse 6-2, only Guy van Litsemborg was beaten by Richard Bitalis (42-37 in 39 innings). Johan Claessen also played very well against Cédéric Melnytschenko: the Belgian won 42-29 in 19 innings (averages 2.210/1.526).

KBC Zanzibar and Kasteeldreef finished on a dead heat: 4-4. Frédéric Caudron beat Roland Forthomme (50-43 in 29 innings). Eddy Leppens showed his firepower against Dave Christiani: 50-22 in 20 innings with a run of 13 for Leppens.

BC Lugo Deurne was much stronger than KC Eeklose and won 8-0. Henk Habraken was'nt as good as last week. He needed 53 innings for the 50 points and beat Leslie Menheer only with one point.
