VIENNA - Who's gonna stop the triumph march of Frédéric Caudron in the World Cup in which he has beaten his opponents in the speed of a Formula 1 car until today. The Belgian defeated in the semifinals Lütfi Cenet, an upcoming top player, who doesn't make part of the lengends in three-cushion so far. Caudron won 3-0.

His next opponent in the final must come from the match between Dick Jaspers and Torbjörn Blomdahl, who just was in an early phase at the time Caudron got a big applause of the audience when he had reached the finish in his match.

Frédéric Caudron, it is known for many years, plays faster than any other top player, he almost never will use time-outs, he evaluates the positions and scores like a machine. The progression in average he made in this World Cup is impressive and was always over two. That makes him the big favorite for the end win, although he knows too well that Jaspers and Blomdahl are world-class opponents.

The Belgian showed himself better in each round until now: first he defeated Ruben Legazpi 2.045, followed by Sung-Won Choi with 2.333, Dani Sánchez last night with 2.500 and Lütfi Cenet this afternoon with 2.812.

The basis for his victory in the semi-final, was the run of fourteen (his second in Vienna) in the first set, with which he came from 7-1 down to a 15-7 win. Caudron won the second 15-4 in five innings, in the third set Lütfi Cenet kept the balane until the finish. Caudron missed his first matchbal at 14-13, Cenet answered with one, but missed at 14-14. Then the Belgian scored his second matchbal: 15-14 in 8.
