Belgian player Philippe Deraes had a winning start in 10 innings.

RONCHIN - Frédéric Caudron has launched the CEB Grand Prix in Ronchin with a magnificent math. The Belgian defeated his Czech opponent Adam Kozak in two innings with a final run of 91. Caudron is the leader in the group now in which the Frenchman Willy Gérimont is the third player.

Brahim Djoubri and Janis Ziogas had a very strong start as well in the preliminaries. The Czech Ziogas defeated Julien Florent 150-74 in eight innings with a run of 76. Patrick Niessen is the third player in this pool.

Brahim Djoubri beat another Frenchman, Jean Francois Florent 150-61 in 7 innings. In this group Johan Devos is the other competitor.

Furthermore ther were wins on the opening day for Jean Godeyne (against Patrick Leroy, 150-83 in 17), Philippe Deraes (against Patrick Dupont 150-68 in 10 innings), Bernard Villiers (in 11 innings) and Rafael Garcia (in 19) .

Adam Baca and Alvaro Gomez played a draw in 22 innings, in the group in which Nicolas Gerassimopoulos is the other opponent.
