LAXOU - The final for the French championship for teams is played this Saturday and Sunday in a weekend in which top players like Torbjörn Blomdahl, Dick Jaspers, Javier Palazón and Ruben Legazpi have to show up in other tournaments. That means the French finals are played in weakened. The four finalists are the home team Laxou, CetSi Morangis, La Baule and Rouen. The matches (Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of June) are broadcast live on Kozoom for members.
Torbjörn Blomdahl is playing with FC Porto the Final Six in Portugal this weekend and is missing in the Laxou team. The line-up is now: Martin Horn, Jef Philipoom, Pierre Soumagne and Matthieu Franck. The team was the group winner followed by La Baule. The Rouen team is even more weakened: Dick Jaspers plays his own tournament in the Netherlands today, Javier Palazón and Ruben Legazpi are performing in the individual Spanish championship.
The line-up of the three other teams:
La Baule (2nd in its group): Frédéric Caudron, Jean-Paul de Bruijn, Jérémy Bury and Arnaud Motton.
Andernos (second in its group behind Rouen): Nikos Polychronopoulos, Roland Forthomme, Jérôme Barbeillon and Francis Connesson.
Rouen (1st in its group): Michael Devogelaere, Vincent Facquet, Vincent Battle and Yann Fontaine.
The semi-finals are at 13.30 and 17:30 this Saturday, first Laxou-Andernos, followed by Rouen-La Baule. On Sunday at 9 o'clock is the first match for third and fourth place. The final starts at 13.30.
