French players heading to Chartres for first nationals

CHARTRES - The French billiard calendar announced the first national ranking tournament three cushion for this weekend. Billiard Club Chartrain is the organizer of the event where Jérémy Bury, the number two on the podium behind Dick Jaspers at the World championship last week, is missing in the field of players. The French federation has introduced new rules.

The qualifications are played on match billiards (3.10), there is only one qualifying tournament with 40 players and the distances are reduced: 30 points in qualifying, 35 in the main tournament. In the final phase that number is increased to 40 caroms.
 
The program will start in eight sessions from Friday (12 October), which will continue on Saturday. The final matches are Sunday. As Jérémy Bury, the main French player, also Pierre Soumagne and Jean-Christophe Roux will not show up in the tournament.
