LAXOU - La Baule's top team is the new champion in France in the highest league. The title was achieved after a victory in the final over Laxou, the organizing team: 6-2. The base for the win was already laid in the first part of the final when La Baule took a 4-0 lead. Frédéric Caudron forced the decision with a win over Martin Horn.

Jean Paul de Bruijn started for the team with a win against Pierre Soumagne (50-46 in 45), Arnaud Motton raised the score by a victory over Matthieu Franck: 50-42 in 44 turns.

Laxou still had chances during the break, because the lead in caroms was only 12 points. Martin Horn and Jef Philipoom had to win their matches against Frédéric Caudron and Jérémy Bury.

That mission proved to be impossible for the home players. Martin Horn took an advantage against Caudron, but couldn't answer the Belgian's attack with ten. The battle was decided a few innings later: 50-41 in 33. The match between Bury and Philipoom was stopped at 41-28 in 26 when Philipoom was leading.

La Baule took the title with 1.203 of average against Laxou 1.141.
