French teams are in decisive phase

LAXOU - On the penultimate day of the French league for teams, two matches will be played this week. The Laxou team is hosting the champions team of Agipi on Wednesday (February 26), Andernos is facing Albert on Thursday.

Jean Paul Six, president of Laxou , made the announcement:

,,We received the famous Agipi team this week, the eight-time winner of the European Cup for teams. The team is composed by the number one in the world, Belgian Frédéric Caudron, the European champion and number three in the world Marco Zanetti, the French number seven in the world, Jérémy Bury and Jean-Christophe Roux, crowned with three Frenche league titles.''

The Laxou team meets the champion in the line-up with Matthieu Franck instead of Eric Kremer-Leclaire and Pierre Soumagne on positions three and four.

The captains are Torbjörn Blomdahl, number two in the world, winner of the oveerall World Cup in 2013 with a world record tournament average in Greece: 2.739. The second player is Martin Horn, who played a fabulous match on Monday night in the Belgian league 50 points in 15 innings with a high run of 19.

The first round starts at 16.00:

Soumagne-Bury, Franck-Roux

The second round at 18.00:

Blomdahl-Caudron and Horn-Zanetti.

The other match between Andernos and Albert is crucial for the players from Picardy to qualify for the final of the French championship.

The Andernos team comes to the table with Filippos Kasidokostas, the world number four, Roland Forthomme, Jérôme Barbeillon and Francis Connesson. Peter Ceulemans, Kurt Ceulemans, Cédric Melnytschenko and Kévin Perrotin show up for Albert.
