OOSTERHOUT - Tayfun Tasdemir's start in the Dutch league, which is still under discussion by the protest of one of the competitor in the ranking, didn't miss its effect. His new team took an unexpected victory on Sunday over one of the frontrunners in the league: 't Hartje defeated STZ Zundert 6-2 and climbs in the rankings over Post Luchtkanalen to third place at the bottom.

Roland Forthomme, on his way now to the World Cup in Hurghada, was missing out for the Zundert team. Peter Ceulemans played on the number one position against Tasdemir. The Turk showed up in a superior match: 50-20 in 26 innings. He also inspired his teammates Ad Broeders (against Barry van Beers, 50-47 in 50) and Wim van Cromvoirt (against Lennart Schrauwen, 50-43 in 64) to the victory. The only Zundert winner was Raymon Groot against Frank Martens (50-48 in 41).
Topping the list, also the winter champion MCR/De Uitspanning made a misstep in the away match against Eekhoorn. Frans van Kuyk and Kurt Ceulemans balanced the match after the break (0-4) with wins over Eddy Leppens (50-42 in 29) and Dave Christiani (50-40 in 33). Frings and Hoefnagels took a 4-0 advantage before the break.

Dick Jaspers played the best match of the day when he beat Stefan Galla (50-31 in 22). The Achterhoek derby between Holland Mineraal and HCR Prinsen ended in a 4-4, partly because Therese Klompenhouwer recorded another stunning win, now over Anno de Kleine (50-42 in 38). The lady's world champion leaves with a lot of confidence for the World Cup in Hurghada after she also defeated Martin Spoormans in a league match.Markus Galla won by one carom against Jelle Pijl (50-49 in 33), Raymund Swertz defeated Stefan Spilleman 50-44 in 36.

Frédéric Caudron showed also a great form before his departure to Hurghada. The Belgian was the strong leader in the Dallinga team in the match against De Distel, which ended in a draw. Caudron defeated Gerwin Valentijn 50-32 in 24. Jean Paul de Bruijn missed the full win for his team: he was defeated by Belgian Jef Philipoom, 50-41 in 29.

A1 Biljarts remains in the top four as one of the candidates for the play-offs after the 6-2 victory over VDO. Eddy Merckx triumphed easily against Rudy de Laet, 50-23 in 25. Raimond Burgman (50 in 29) and Martien van der Spoel (50 in 35) signed for the maximum profit.

MCR/De Uitspanning tops the rankings after twelve rounds with 20 points. STZ Zundert and Buffalo.nl have 16, A1 Biljarts 15, Eehoorn and Holland Mineraal 13, Dallinga.com 12 and De Distel 11 points.
The next competition round is on 3 January.
