HERTEN - The game is over for Markus Schönhoff, who played such a wonderful Masters. Marcel Decker showed himself a great substitute and Ronny Lindemann and Johann Schirmbrand were outclassed today, in the quarter finals of the German Masters. The four players remaining for the semi-finals are Martin Horn, Dustin Jäschke, Thorsten Frings and Stefan Galla.
Three of those four belong already to the main contenders from the start, only Thorsten Frings had a narrow escape with two losses in the group stage. He continued much better with a win against Markus Schönhoff 50-36 in 28 innings.
Martin Horn showed once again his high class in the quarter-finals with a walkover in his match against Johann Schirmbrand, who had none of a chance against the defending champions (50-21 in 16).
Dustin Jäschke knocked down the revelation at the Masters, Marcel Decker, beating him 50-36 in 47 and Stefan Galla demonstrated his stable form with a win against Ronny Lindemann: 50-25 in 29.
The semi-finals for tomorrow (Sunday) at 11.00 are between Stefan Galla and Dustin Jäschke and on the other table Martin Horn and Thorsten Frings.
The final is at 14.00.
Dustin Jäschke played an excellent tournament and is in the semi-finals.
