The 20 year old Dutch player Glenn Hofman is one of the favourites for the title in the World Championship three cushions for juniors. The tournament is hold in Hoogeveen, a small town in the north of the Netherlands, from 17-19 september.

Sixteen players will start in four groups of four. The two best players will reach the final rounds.

Glenn Hofman finds himself in a tough group. ,,The Colombian player Huperney Catano Ospina is very good, he is also the best of the senior players in his country’’, Hofman said. ,,But I feel good, I’m ready for the championship. For me it’s a challenge in my own country.’’

The world champion of last year, Javier Palazón from Spain, is because of his age not allowed to play with the juniors. David Martinez is the European champion.

The groups are:

Poule A: Ruben Fernandez Bermejo (Sp), Jens van Dam (NL), Yusuke Mori (Jap), Manuel Lindao (Ec).

Poule B: David Martinez (Sp), Jun Tae Kim (Kor), William Villanueva (Ven), Dustin Jäschke (Dui).

Poule C: Huperney Catano Ospina (Col), Mohamed Abdir (Eg), Kenny Miaton (Bel), Glenn Hofman (NL).

Poule D: Haeng Jik Kim (Kor), José Juan Garcia Nunez (Col), Eric Tromas (Fr), Bryan Tempelers (Lux).

The tournament hall is the Biljartcentrum l’Acquit, Terpweg 2 in Hoogeveen.
