Group formats for CEB Grand Prix in Ronchin

ONHIN - The first CEB Grand Prix tournament in the balk-line 71/2 is launched today (Friday) ) with the opening matches at 18.00. The draw was on Thursday evening: 27 players were divided into nine groups of three players.

Frédéric Caudron, the main favorite, will show up in Group 1 with Adam Kozak From Czech Republic and Willy Gérimont from France. The only Dutch player in the tournament, Dave Christiani, plays in a group with French player Patrick Leroy en the Belgian Jean Godeyne.

Nikos Gérassimopoulos (Gr) plays in his group with Adam Baca (Tsj) and Spaniard Alvaro Gomez Jimenez.

Patrick Niessen meets in Group E Julien Florent (Fr) and Janis Ziogas (CZ).

Two French, Jean-Francois Florent and Brahim Djoubri, meet each other in Group F with the Belgian Johan Devos.

Bernard Villiers faces his compatriot Jean-Pierre Berrier in Group G.
