SEOUL - The medical bulletin of Haengjik Kim is improving every day. The young Korean billiard player (21), four-time Junior world champion in three cushion, is recovering in the Seoul hospital from his brain stroke on Friday, 10th of May.
The medical process and all things in hospital are going well. HaengJik takes medicines every day, he feels good and expects to go home in two weeks.
Kozoom had an interview with the Korean billiard player, who is widely considered as the greatest talent of last ten years.
Frits Bakker: What nice to hear from you, HaengJik, how are you? How do you feel after all those weeks of treatment and restoring?
Haengjik Kim: ,,I feel very good, thank you, I would like to go home. But I think it will take two more weeks. Things are going as it should. I eat well, I can freely move through the hospital, because I'm not sick. I cannot wait to go out for practicing and play billiards again, haha.''
FB: Did the doctors say you can play billiards very soon after your recovery?
HK: ,,I'm still very young, I recover well, but first I want to be at home, then we'll see.''
FB: Can you remember the moment when it happened, the brain stroke, where were you?
HJ: 'Yes, I remember, I was in Daejeon, a city where a Korean tournament was played. I was playing a match, but when I was on my seat, waiting for my turn, I suddenly felt bad. I was in a very bad condition at that time. The family took me to the Seoul hospital.’’
FB: They decided not to operate in those weeks you were there?
HK: ,,The doctors said that I can recover with medication. Every day is different, but because I am so young, it’s gonna be all right.’’
FB: Can you just walk around in the hospital?
HK: ,,Yes, of cours, because I don’t feel sick at all, so I can do anything I want.''
FB: Many people ask, every day again, how things are going with you. Did you speak with players already?
HK: ,,Yes, for instance, yesterday with Glenn Hoffman, nice to speak with him again''.
FB: And are there many Korean players, who visit you in the hospital?
HK: ,,Yes, very much, Dong Kung Kang, Hee Whang Duck and many other good players.''
FB: When you go home, you go to the family in Seoul?
HK: ,,Yes, I'm waiting for the good news.''
