BOGOTA - Before they return to Europe and start the new season in the national competitions, Glenn Hoffman and Eddy Leppens spend their holidays this weeks with their Colombian girlfriends in Colombia. Both players take up the challenge to battle with the strong Colombians in the Copa Festival de Verano, the traditional summer tournament in Bogotá in the Jasmine Coliseum.
The first days of qualifications are now behind us with many Colombian supporters who came to encourage the favorites, among them Pedro Gonzalez, Henry Diaz, Huberney Cataño, Luis Angel Martinez, Alexander Salazar, Heriberto Aristizabal, Andres Naranjo, José García Nuñez and Miguel Romero.
They all compete for a place in the final round on Sunday. Glenn Hoffman and Eddy Leppens meet some of the best players of the American continent on their way to the final rounds.
The main tournament is starting today (Friday) with sixteen groups of three players, taking off at 14:00 Colombian time in the group matches.
The knockout rounds on Saturday and Sunday, the final match on Sunday at 17:00 pm.
