Jeffrey Jorissen was the star player in the fifteenth round with a run of twenty

ZUNDERT - The Dutch players show up for the title race in the Masters in two weeks, the Belgians have already start the engins in Blankenberge and in these weeks the Dutch competition makes a stop. Jeffrey Jorissen from The Hague was the star player on the fifteenth day with a run of twenty in a home match.

Biljartcafé Jorissen therefor took a bloody revenge in the match against Van Wanrooy Transport. They lost 8-0 in the away match, in their own billiard café the Hague team won 8-0. Jean van Erp defeated Kurt Ceulemans 50-46 (24), Raymond Ceulemans won in 52 innings, Jeffrey Jorissen in twenty against Jan Arnouts (45-22) and Herman van Daalen beat Ad Broeders in 47 innings.

Holland's glory in the eredivisie (the Holland Mineraal team) can look forward to a wonderful finish. The play-offs are within the grasp after a hard-fought victory in Zundert (6-2).

The two leaders after fifteen rounds, Dallinga-Frans Bevers and Partycentrum Osdorp, strengthened their position, behind the leaders, a tough battle can be expected.

The false step of STZ Zundert in the home match against Holland Mineraal remained without seriously been threatened for the third place, because Capelle de Terp lost as well (8-0 against Partycentrum). De Distel (6-2 win against A1 Biljarts) entered top of the ranking and Holland Mineraal crowned itself to great winner of this match day. The team of Ronny Hazewinkel climbs two places to fourth place together with Capelle. ,,We won for the very first time in Zundert,'' the team leader shouted. ,,The purse is empty, but the points are in the bag.''

The match between the two teams behind the two teams on top showed a lot of tension. Holland Mineraal already led 3-1 at the break, as Raimond Groot could not deal with Jelle Pijl (45-21 in 28) and Barry van Beers shared the win with Stefan Galla.

Still it seemed to be hunky dory in the second part, because Roland Forthomme (28-19 against Murat Naci Coklu) and Peter Ceulemans (28-20 in 13 vs Anno de Kleine) had a comfortable lead at the break of their matches. Peter Ceulemans: ,,I couldn't score that much after the break and De Kleine had a fantastic second part with thirty points in fourteen innings.'' That match turned out into a crucial: De Kleine won 50-47 in 27 innings. The still reigning Belgian champion Forthomme couldn't turn around the situation by his win over Coklu (50-47 in 29).

De Distel won the away match against A1 Biljarts thanks to the victories of John Tyssens over Henk Blauwblomme and Adrie Demming over Addie Wienk before the break. Jacob Haack-Sörensen on his turn defeated Martien van der Spoel after the break 50-40 in 37.

Raimond Burgman and Jef Philipoom played a very special match. The Belgian, who played on socks because of a severe toe injury, started off as a rocket (29-10 in 14), but then Raimond Burgman made a superior come-back with runs of four (15th), five (17th) and fifteen (18 inning). Philipoom was still leading the match 37-34 when Burgman stroke again with a 10 run in the 21th: 45-42. The Dutchman finished with one and four, Philipoom scored four in the equalizer: 50-48 in 23.

Dallinga-Frans Bevers won the away match against Aardexpress without being in problems 8-0. Eddy Leppens and Peter De Backer won in 27 innings, Glenn Hoffman in 25, Jean Paul de Bruijn in 35. The Belgian Leppens who, after a bad start, had 13 points in 15 at the score board, then showed his candidacy for the Belgian title with a run of 11 and a 14 to the finish.

Partycentrum Osdorp also won with the maximum score in its own house against Capelle. The two main players were in a great form: Dick Jaspers won 50-31 in 21 innings against Martin Spoormans, Eddy Merckx 50-44 in 20 innings against Richard Bitalis.
That last game was a jewel for the audience: Merckx answered with a run of eleven to 45-40 when Bitalis had scored nine and then finished with five.

Garage Verbrugge Hyundai and 's Landwelvaren played a draw in Sluiskil after a 4-0 lead at the break for the Beveland team. Bart Ceulemans and Therese Klompenhouwer (already her fifth win in the top league) managed to let the home crowd cheer in the second part. Ceulemans defeated Forton 50-41 in 38, Klompenhouwer won 50-31 in 34 against Jack Wijnen.
