Martin Horn and Torbjörn Blomdahl, the Laxou spearheads in Albert

ALBERT - The second meeting in the French league, between Retro Albertin and Laxou, ended in a victory for the star team with Torbjörn Blomdahl and Martin Horn. The two of the team heavyweights managed to convert a 3-1 backlog at the break with a high class demonstration. The Swede and the German entertained the audience with a 14 of Blomdahl and a 17 of Horn in a simultaneous show. Their opponents were Peter Ceulemans and Kurt Ceulemans.

The home team had a promising start: Kevin Perrotin (Albert), who is back after suspension, beat the veteran Eric Kremer-Leclaire (Laxou) 50-38 in 49 innings. Cédric Melnytschenko (Albert) and Pierre Soumagne (Laxou) walked on thin ice at the end of their match, when they balanced to the finish. Soumagne finally made his last point, Melnytschenko equalized from the spots.

The two Laxou guns, Torbjörn Blomdahl/Martin Horn, made the second session to a sparkling show. Shortly before the break, they attacked in an exceptional show, at the same time with 18-14 and 19-14 on the score boards.

Then they started to score simultaneously: the Swede in an amazing rush to fourteen points, the German to seventeen: 31 points in only five minutes, lifting the scores to 34-14 (Blomdahl) in 11 innings and 36-14 (Horn) in 9 innings!

Peter and Kurt Ceulemans, not really impressed by the great performances, tried to close the gap with some small runs after the break, but did not manage. Nothing could stop Blomdahl and Horn on their way to the maximum win for Laxou.

Blomdahl won 50-35 in 19 (2.632/1.842), Horn 50-29 in 22.

The Laxou team ended 1,315 average (2.439 for the two spearheads Blomdahl/Horn), Albert had a 1.147 overall.
The favorites Laxou and Andernos have confirmed their status in the first round with away wins against Albert and Gravelines.

On the second day of the championship (28 November) Agipi plays at home against Gravelines and Andernos against Laxou.
