DUISBURG - With a win and a draw in the penultimate (double) weekend Horster Eck won the title in the Bundesliga. The team with Torbjörn Blomdahl, Martin Horn, Thorsten Frings and Markus Dömer can't be catched anymore by the main competitor BC Elversberg.
Horster Eck won the title in Germany for the ninth time and stayed unbeaten with fifteen wins and two draws. Martin Horn showed the best form in the team this weekend. He defeated Hans Jürgen Kühl with two average. In the duel between Horster Eck and BCC Wittens, Torbjörn Blomdahl won the battle with Eddy Leppens with two poings (50-48).
BC Elversberg with Peter Ceulemans and Johann Schirmbrand and BCC Wittens with Eddy Leppens and Stefan Galla finished two and three on the ranking. BC Mnich ended as last with only six points in sixteen matches.
Stefan Galla had a great weekend: he beat Johann Schirmbrand 50-24 in 22 innings and Martin Horn 50-46 in 37.
