Dick Jaspers is fighting for his last chance to survive in his favorite tournament.

The loss of Dick Jaspers, yesterday evening in his match against Jung Han Heo, means that the dual winner of the Agipi Masters only has a very little chance to reach the final round. The Dutchman in any case has to win his last match against Jérémy Bury win this afternoon at 17.30 and then must hope that Jung Han Heo on the other table loses tot Frenchman Pierre Soumagne.

The Korean, however, looks stronger than his opponent and is fighting to keep up his chances. When Jaspers and Heo win their matches, the average will decide. Jérémy Bury, Dick Jaspers and Jung Han Heo end up in that case with each three wins. Bury has an average now of 2.542 and seems to be for sure in the finals. Jaspers has 1.969, Heo 2.105.

That's in fact just a difference of five innings between Jasper and Heo, according to the calculation. If Jaspers wins in 15 innings and Heo in twenty, Jaspers comes up to 2.225 and Heo is on 2.200. And if Jaspers finishes his match in twenty innings and Heo in 25, the score for Jaspers is 2.094 and for Heo 2.073.

It is therefore very important for Jaspers to play a very short match against Bury. But winning his match seems already a very difficult task, because the Frenchman is in the shape of his life.
