Dick Jaspers speelde de beste partij van de vierde ronde

SLUISKIL/OOSTERHOUT - The STZ Zundert team is the only leader left in the Dutch league after the team defeated last year's champion Dallinga 6-2. The other team on top after three rounds, MCR/De Uitspanning, spoiled one matchpoint against A1 Biljart and is one point behind now. Dick Jaspers was the best man in this round in the home match with Prinsen against De Distel (8-0) and Eddy Merckx (A1 Biljarts) shone with a fluent start against Eddy Leppens: 21-1 in two innings, run of seventeen.

The first part of the double weekend brought more separation in the rankings. STZ Zundert tops the ranking now with eight match points. MCR/De Uitspanning played a 4-4 draw against A1 Biljarts. Eekhoorn joined the top three by defeating Buffalo.nl 6-2. Glenn Hoffman was close to his first win against Frans van Kuyk, but stumbled on the last carom.

HCR Prinsen and Mineral Holland both took the maximum score: Prinsen at home against De Distel, not only thanks to Dick Jaspers' riant victory over Gerwin Valentijn (50-16 in 19) and Anno de Kleine against Jef Philipoom (50-29 in 34). Raymund Swertz had a traditional walkover with Hans van der Wurf as his opponent: 50-12: 50.

Dave Christiani (50-21 win against Raimond Burgman in 26) and Torsten Frings (50-40 win against Martien van der Spoel in 34) took an important match point in the encounter with A1 Biljarts. Holland Mineraal bested VDO 8-0 with Stefan Galla as the best man: a win over Arie Weijenburg (50-35 in 26). Jean van Erp was the only winner for Buffalo in the away match against Eekhoorn when he defeated Kurt Ceulemans (50-37).

Post Luchtkanalen-'t Hartje/Van Wanrooij turned out into a tie. It was the first match point for 't Hartje. Martin Horn defeated Ad Broeders 50-32 in 33.

Today, Sunday, is the fifth round.
