Jean Paul de Bruijn and Xavier Gretillat play the final of the Grand Prix

HOOGEVEEN - The final of the Euro Grand Prix one cushion in Hoogeveen has turned out into a battle between the Dutch top favorite Jean Paul de Bruijn and Swiss Xavier Gretillat. Jean Paul de Bruijn shows up for the final after having beated Raymund Swertz in the eighth finals (120-56 in 11), Dieter Steinberger in the quarterfinals (120-47 in eight innings) and Joan Espinosa in the semi-final: 120-30 in four innings.

Xavier Gretillat made an amazing impression in his last two games, both of which he finished in three innings. In the quarterfinals, he bested Dave Christiani with a big margin 120-39. The semifinal against Frédéric Caudron was a wonderful match. Gretillat started with 93 and finished in three innings.

Caudron needed 89 caroms for a draw in the equalizer, but he missed unluckily after 75 due to a touché. Therefor Gretillat won 120-108.

The final Gretillat-De Bruijn starts at 15.00.
