ZELE - One week before the World championship in his own Sluiskil, it seems like Jean Paul de Bruijn has found his winning mood again. After some bad performances in Holland the Dutch player with a wild card in Sluiskil now showed his class in a match with Quality Zele against De Ploeg. De Bruijn beat Allan Jensen 50-17 in 25 innings and a run of ten. Peter de Backer played on the number one position even better than his team mate. The Belgian won his match with Martin Horn 50-29 in only 21 innings, with an average of 2.380 and a run of twelve.

De Backer does not play the World championship, because his new billiard shop in Belgium takes so much time that he cannot play the Worldcups. Jean Paul de Bruijn is one of the four Dutchmen in Sluiskil. He will have a very tough start, because his first match is against Dick Jaspers.

BC Quality Zele missed the top position on the ranking, because the two other players, Patrick Kesteloot and Mathieu Vlerick lost their matches.

Mister 100 Lier also lost his high position. Only Peter Ceulemans won his match in the confrontation with Kon. Kortrijkse, he beat Ronny Brants 50-48 in 34 innings. Kurt, Raymond and Koen Ceulemans lost their games, Raymond even with an average of 0.700 against Richard Bitalis (42-28 in 40 innings). Cédéric Melnytschenko beat Koen Ceulemans 42-39 in 36.

In the ranking two teams are on the lead: BC Geox Herentals and KBC Zanzibar, both with seven points in 5 matches. Mister 100 Lier, BC De Ploeg and Quality Zele follow on one point. Kon. Kortrijkse, BC Biljart Express, BC Deurne and BC Lugo Deurne collected 5 points in 5 matches.
