Jean van Erp beats his master Jaspers in semi final

VLAARDINGEN - The big favorite for the victory, Dick Jaspers, is beaten by Jean van Erp in the semifinal this afternoon. Two runs of seven and eight, in the early part of the match, gave Van Erp a 26-14 lead in 9 innings. That margin remained until the end: Van Erp beat Jaspers 50-42 in 25 innings.

The teammate of the best Dutch billiard player, in the team of Van Donge en De Roo in the league, scored an average of 2.000 for the second time in a row. Van Erp had a highest run of ten in the semifinals, Jaspers only four in 25 innings.

Ad Koorevaar is the other finalist after a splendid 50-13 victory in 28 innings against Herman Slikker. The singer/entertainer Koorevaar made a run of eighteen in the sixteenth inning. It was one of the highlights of the tournament after the run of seventeen Jeffrey Jorissen yesterday.
