The French stage with Jérémy Bury as winner

SAINT-MAUR-DES-FOSSÉS - Jérémy Bury has taken his fifth French title in three cushion after a final win against Jérôme Barbeillon. The Agipi player won the championship already in 2003, 2006, 2008 and 2011.

Jérôme Barbeillon was the defending titleholder in Saint-Maur-des Fosses. Bury won the final 50-40 in 31 innings.

The champion defeated in the first round Eric Tromas and Thierry Roxo, then defeated Xavier le Roy, who performed surprisingly, in 36 innings. Bury then beat his Agipi teammate Jean-Christophe Roux in the semifinals 50-36 in 27. In that match he recorded with fifteen the highest run of the tournament.

With the victory in the French championship Jérémy Bury completes a unique series of wins in his own country. In 37 games he lost only one match, against Jérôme Barbeillon in Nancy.

Barbeillon finished second in the championship with 1.243 average after a first victory on the way to the final against Jacques Bonnet, a loss against Cédric Melnytschenko and then wins in the knockout phase against Bernard Baudoin, Francis Connesson (50-24 in 33) and in the semifinal against Pierre Soumagne: 50-46 in 38/37.

The podium was completed by Jean-Christophe Roux (1.258 average) and Pierre Soumagne (1.307).

Jean Reverchon was fifth with 1.218 average, ahead of Xavier le Roy with 1.012, Cédric Melnytschenko with 1.141 and Francis Connesson with 1.117.
