Jérémy Bury shines with excellent win in Andernos

ANDERNOS - Jérémy Bury is the undisputed leader on the French ranking again after a resounding victory in the last Grand Prix tournament in Andernos. The French number one recorded two outstanding matches in Andernos: the semi-final that he won against Marc Boingnères 40-21 in 16 innings (2.500) and the blistering win against Jean Reverchon in the final 40-8 in twelve innings.

The scores in this final: 3-2-5-8-0-1-1-5-0-2-11-2.

The eventual winner started with a win vs Olivier Bauchet in 33 innings (40-29), followed by Vincent Lelièvre (40-30 in 22) and in the quarterfinals Mikael Devogelaere in 27 innings. Bury ended 1.818 overall.

Jean Reverchon was second and played an excellent qualification in 19 and 29 innings (1.667). In the quarterfinals he defeated Francis Connesson, who had an off-day 40-22 in 35. In the semi-final Reverchon defeated Louis Edelin 40-26 in 39. Reverchon finished second in the ranking with 1.253 average ahead of Jean-Christophe Roux.

Marc Boingnères was the best Andernos player in the own venue. He finished on the podium with 1.270. His quarter-final was an exciting fight with teammate Michel Dore: 40-40 and a win a penalty shootout 2-1. Louis Edelin accompanied him in third place with 1.186 average, including strong performances against Thierry Roxo (2.000) and Bernard Baudoin (1.904).
