Jesús Rico, the new junior champion in Spain

SUECA - The Valencian city of Sueca was hosting the Spanish championship three cushion for players under 21, in which fourteen players competed from the federations Valencia and Murcia. Jesús Rico from the billiard club Castella is the new champion with an average of 0.844.

Jesús Rico defeated his friend and teammate Andrés Carrión in the final 40-28 in 49 innings. Carrión averaged 0.727 overall. The podium was completed by Carlos Anguita (CB Montcada) with 0.683 and Juan Luis Martí (CB Sueca) 0.603.

Carlos Anguita played the Junior World championships in Sluiskil two weeks ago.

The new Spanish champion is already known on the Spanish billiard stage. He has played among others two finals with his club in the team championship.

The finalists showed that a new generation of young players is coming up in Spain after David Zapata, David Martinez and Andres Montes.
