Johan Loncelle, waiting for a suspension, is still allowed to play.

NIEUWEGEIN - The Belgian player Johan Loncelle, in the last months of last year caught for using cocaine, is still allowed to play official matches. In the Dutch league his team of De Vrachtkar put him on non-active, but in the Belgian leagu Loncelle still plays games for the team 't Lammeken from Ghent. With that team he is the leader in the second division.

The Dutch billiard federation (KNBB) is awaiting a decision in the doping case. Willem La Riviere, director of the headquarter: ,,We have transferred the case to the Institute for Sports Law, as many sports federations have done with disciplinary proceedings. We are now waiting for the status of the doping authority.''

The positive dope test is only transferred on Friday last week, what means that the final decision will take some time. La Riviere: ,,In principle, Loncelle can play for official competitions until the result is known.''

Loncelle's team in the Netherlands doesn't want him to play anymore. In the Belgian league Loncelle won last week with 't Lammeken his match against Ad Koorevaar 42-30 in 24 innings. 't Lammeken is on top in the league and has a good chance to promote to the highest class.
