Jeffrey Jorissen remains in the top three with his team

THE HAGUE - The winners, Jeffrey Jorissen and his team, looked at the top spots on the ranking and said: ,,If we keep on winning, the others can't enlarge their lead.'' In Dutch sporting terms it reminds to a Johan Cruijff sentence. Jorissen oversaw the situation on top in the Dutch three cushion league after his team's victory over HCR Prinsen (6-2).

Biljartcafé Jorissen remains third behind AEJ/Dallinga (15 points) and MCR De Uitspanning (13), after the thrilling encounter in the Hague. Jean van Erp was 12-1 down against Markus Galla, came back with runs of nine and eight and eventually won the match 50-42 in 37 innings.

Glenn Hoffman also needed a tough fight in his duel with Anno de Kleine. The young, Jorissen's front man faced a gap of 15-2 in the sixth inning. And when De Kleine made ten in the 11th inning, he ran away to 26-9. Hofman did a first attempt to catch up his opponent around 28-21 in 17, took the lead on 43-41 and then finished 5-1-1.

Jeffrey Jorissen himself was a way too strong for Dave van Geel (50-27 in 27), Herman van Daalen lost in a weak match to Michel van Silfhout (50-43 in 62).

Dick Jaspers (Dallinga) needed a little miracle to win his match against Martien van der Spoel. The national number one was 25-7 down after a run of fourteen in the eleventh inning (25-7) and was put under pressure by his opponent. But Jaspers fought back with little attacks and took the win (50-46 in 34) after a few unlucky balls for Van der Spoel.

Eddy Merckx won his excellent match against Henk Blauwblomme, who delivered a strong average as well: 50-36 in 21 (Merckx run 11). Jean Paul de Bruijn was too strong for Addy Wienk (50-28 in 29) and with six match points, Frédéric Caudron could afford a loss against Raimond Burgman, who sowed a great form: (50-43 in 31).

MCR De Uitspanning remains close to the leader by a gain against Ripa Recycling/Pearle 7-1. Only Ronnie Daniels showed up with a draw for the home team: he tied in his match vs Dave Christiani: 50-50 in 37.

Eddy Leppens defeated Francis Forton with a little margin (50-47 in 39), Richard Bitalis and Sander Jonen took the maximum profit for MCR with victories over Jens van Dam (50-25 in 27) and Dion Bergmans (50-32 in 57).

Pressplate Machielsen took the maximum win against Holland Mineraal: 8-0. Barry van Beers was the best winner for the Brabant team in 25 innings against Jelle Pijl. Roland Forthomme won 50-38 vs Stefan Galla in 29.

De Distel Biljarts defeated Post Luchtkanalen 6-2 (Jef Philipoom beat Davy van Havere 50-46 in 44) and Van Wanrooy Transport came back with a 7-1 win from the away match against Capelle De Terp (7-1). Harrie van de Ven was the best with a 26 innings win against Emilio Sciacca (50-32), Kurt Ceulemans had a very strong finish against Martin Spoormans (50-33 in 29 after runs of 12 and 7 in the final phase.

As a result, not only A1 Biljarts is in danger, also Capelle De Terp is close to the last position.
