BOGOTÁ - The young Colombian Jose Juan Garcia impressed in the first part of the knockouts at the Grand Prix Americanos in Bogotá. With victories over Carlos Donoso from Panama and the reigning champion Robinson Morales, Garcia was the best man in the first round with 48 players, averaging 1.868.
Garcia won his match against Morales 2-1 in sets: 11-15 in 13, 15-5 in 5 and 15-3 in four innings. The Colombian players, who were 29 in the last 48, dominate this stage of the tournament.
