Jung Ju Shin finished on top of the day ranking

BURSA - The second day of the World Cup in Bursa turned out into a day of the juniors. The Korean Jung Ju Shin, who made the podium of the Junior World championships in Guri last year, entered the next round with two sparkling matches: 30 and 18 in 16 innings. Therefor he averaged 1.764 and finished on top of the day ranking. Myung Woo Chong, his compatriot, finished in the top five and two young players who shone on former international tournaments, Omer Karakurt and Dustin Jäschke, shared among the best players of the day.

Omer Karakurt impressed in a full swing match, which he won in nine innings against the Dutchman Raymon Groot (30-10), Myung Woo Cho, only eighteen years of age, outclassed his opponents in 25 and 18 innings. Hamit Akkaya, Omer Karakurt and Turgay Orak remained unbeaten all three with 1.428.

The young Korean Jung Ju Shin took the glory roll ahead of his competitors with his wonderful performance. In his own Korea last year, Shin missed the junior world title by a loss against the younger brother of HaengJik Kim, Tae Hwan Kim, who beat him in the semi-final 35-30 in 24 innings. Tae Hwan grabbed the title in the final against Jun Tae Kim. The big favourite, Myung Woo Cho, was surprisingly eliminated in the preliminaries.

Jung Ju Shin took the spotlights by the best average in the final ranking of the twelve participants at that WC (1.386). With his start in the World Cup of Bursa he demonstrated again his stunning class: Emin Gayret outplayed in the first match 30-11 in 18 innings and Furkan Senel in the second 30-23 in 16.

The still mainly Turkish top sixteen looked slightly different than on the first day with a Korean (Shin) on top and on the fifth place and the German Dustin Jäschke on sixth place with 1.276 and the highest day run: 11.

Two players with one win out of two matches went to the next round: Ismail Yasin with 1.072 and Tank Yavuz with 1.056.
