The Italian competitors for the world title

MILAN - The World championship 5 pins in Milan has reached the knockout phase after the last qualification rounds. For the final rounds, 32 players have qualified, including twelve Italians and seven Argentines. Martin Spoormans is the only one of three Belgians who survived the qualifications. The French are still two players: Duvernoy and Hingant.

The last qualifications were played with eight groups of six in a round robin to the best of 5. Four players per group qualified for the final rounds with 32.

The group winners were: Daniel Lopez (Ita), Alejandro Martinotti (Arg), Michelangenlo Aniello (Ita), Gaetano Romeo (Ita), Sandro Giachetti (Ita), Walter Ingegnieri (Arg), Andrea Quarta (Ita), Paolo Marcolin (Ita).
