ANTALYA - They were with three so far of five who will perform today. Jae Ho Cho joined two other Koreans who already were seeded for tomorrow: Dong Koong Kang defeated Jef Philipoom, Sung-Won Choi beat Jean Paul de Bruijn.
Jae Ho Cho disturbed the father illusions of one of the Turkish favorites: Adnan Yüksel, who won last year's World Cup in Hurghada. He was knocked out in a match in which he seldom could shine: Yüksel only won the third set: 15-2 (7), 15-12 (14), 14-15 (10), 15-11 (8).
Jérémy Bury, who was defeated in the Egyptian resort in the final by Yüksel, had a much better start. In his match against Radek Novak he rattled off three sets with 15-2 (9), 15-4 (9), 15-4 (6) and he sparkled with his average over two.
The Spanish clash between Dani Sánchez and Javier Palazón also was a three-setter without too much tension. The triple world champion dominated from start to finish and won 3-0 in 9, 15 and 7 innings (average 1.451).
The last battle in this session was a real marathon. Ryuuji Umeda constantly had ascendancy over Julian Morales. The Colombian could fight back from 1-0 and 2-1 to 2-2 and believed in his own chances. The experience of the Japanese was enough to grab victory.
