ANDERNOS - The champion team of Agipi has taken the leading position again in the fourth round of the competition. Claude Fath’s dreamteam won the away match against Kozoom 6-2. Roland Forthomme came up with the only win for his team. He beat Frédéric Caudron, but Marco Zanetti, Jérémy Bury and Jean-Christophe Roux took the overall win for Agipi.

The last competition session gave more clarity in the battle for four places in the playoffs. After the draw between Gravelines and Albert, three tickets are distributed: to Agipi, Andernos and Laxou.
The fourth participant must come from the last game between Kozoom and Albert. Kozoom is only one point ahead.

Agipi broke open the game with Kozoom before the break. Peter De Backer had a flying start against Marco Zanetti and led by 24-6 after eleven innings. The Italian then quickly crept closer and equalled the match around 40 points. The final sprint of Zanetti decided the game with a 7-run in the closing innings: 50-44 in 26.

Jean Christophe Roux lifted the score to 4-0 by taking the lead in the last part of his match vs. Marc Boingnères: 50-34 in 40.

Jérémy Bury made the gap with Frédéric Mottet also at the end of the match, when he struck with a 9-run and got the finish in sight. The French champion won 50-40 in 32.

Roland Forthomme stretched out to a 7-points advantage at the break in his match against Frédéric Caudron (25-18). The Belgians battled a head-to-head match for a while, but at the end the Belgian champion showed his strength. Forthomme won 50-39 in 22 innings.
He scored the highest average of this match day: 2.273.

Agipi had a team average of 1.575, Kozoom ended with 1.400.

Gravelines-Albert

Martin Spoormans and Peter Ceulemans decided over win or lose in the match between these teams. The veteran scored with one of his famous lucky shots (‘a Spoormansje’) at the decisive moment and put his opponent on the ranck: 50-42 in 33.

Kurt Ceulemans was man of the match with a solid win over Ronny Daniels, whom he defeated after a strong start (25-11 in 13) at the end 50-23 in 30 innings.

Jérôme Vanuxem defeated Kevin Perrotin by two points and Cédric Melnytschenko dominated the bump with Frédéric Roelants thanks to a twelve run.

The 4-4 match has eliminated Gravelines for the play-offs. Kozoom and Albert will battle for the final place.
