Spanish Grand Prix

The Grand Prix in Spain is on the live calender of Kozoom for the first time. The undisputed superstar Dani Sanchez is the best known player in this tournament with all the big names of Spanish three cushion. The Spanish billiards school is known as a professional training centre for young talents. David Martinez and David Zapata are the best examples. They go into battle with Dani Sánchez, the multiple Spanish champion, together with the established players, Javier Palazón, Carlos Crespo, Ruben Legazpi, Sergio Jiménez etc.

World Cup three cushion in Porto

The fourth World Cup of the year brings players from around the world to Porto. For the third year in a row, this tournament will be held at the sports centre close to the FC Porto football stadium. Torbjörn Blomdahl was the winner last year after he had already taken the European championship. Because of its impressive atmosphere and perfect organization, Porto is one of the favourite tournaments in the World Cup circuit. The focus is not only on European players: more and more Koreans and Vietnamese participate in the fight for the podium spots. The last World Cup in Vietnam this year was won by Frédéric Caudron, who is still in fantastic form.

Verhoeven Open in New York

The famous Verhoeven Open is played in the first week of August in the Carom Cafe in New York. Without doubt, it is one of the most spectacular tournaments on the world's calendar. Each year, the city that never sleeps invites the billiard world for a marathon of matches. Before the knockout stage starts, the participants show up in groups of eight or ten to qualify for the semi-finals, where the best players come to the tables. In one week, last year, 452 matches were played. Therefore, New York is the biggest and most comprehensive live event of the year. The winner last year was Dick Jaspers, who defeated Tayfun Tasdemir in the final match. With 2.098 Jaspers also had the best average.

Super Prestige in Lommel

The tournament with the best sixteen players of the season in Belgium annually attracts many interested billiard lovers to Lommel. The Super Prestige is considered a very prestigious tournament, in which Frédéric Caudron, Eddy Merckx and Eddy Leppens, organizer himself, are the great matadors. It's a wonderful finish of the summer in a setting that is rarely seen. Frédéric Caudron won last year's final against Eddy Leppens by a run of seven in the shoot-out.

World Cup in Guri

The World Cup in Guri has turned into one of the best quality tournaments with many players on exceptional levels in the preliminaries. Nevertheless, rarely one of the Asian players win the tournament. Two years ago, it was Dong Koong Kang who managed to bring the home crowd in ecstasy. Dani Sánchez triumphed last year with the same record average (2.739) Torbjörn Blomdahl played before in Greece. Sanchez defeated Dick Jaspers in the semi-finals in one of the best matches of the year. In only nine innings, the Spaniard won 40-33. Both players together made 73 caroms in 18, averaging 4.055. All games will be broadcast live from the first round.
