ANDERNOS - The period between June and September is usually not the favourite part of the season for billiard players. The hot temperatures in the summer invite to take a stop and enjoy a few weeks holiday, more than spend hours to practice and play tournaments. But yet, the national and international calendar cannot afford a complete stop.
The Dutch competition was closed with the final in the playoffs last weekend. In Belgium, the last BTS tournament is played in Lier and then, a lot of world players are already looking forward to a few very interesting tournaments in July and August.
The Kozoom live calendar announces attractive tournaments and events this summer, so during the holiday season, the Kozoom members can watch and enjoy top billiards around the world.

June 13 to 21
French championships all disciplines:
From 13 to 21 June, the French allround championships will be held in Evian-les-Bains. The national titles are at stake in the carom disciplines, pool and snooker. Kozoom will broadcast live every day.
June 20
Crazy billiards event Dick Jaspers and Emma Solutions
The dream of Dick Jaspers, to organize his own tournament, will be fulfilled on 20 June fulfilled. With a maximum of 128, the participants will meet in the funny battle in Rosmalen (Netherlands), where is played for the honour and the prize money. The draw is next week on 16 June. Besides the many recreational players, also top players like Dick Jaspers himself, Martin Horn, Eddy Merckx and Jean-Paul de Bruijn show up.

June 24 to 30
Zanca tournament in Incheon (Korea)
The Koreans play a Grand Prix in Incheon from 24 to 30 June. The tournament counts for the national ranking. HaengJik Kim, who won a big national tournament two weeks ago, is leading the rankings. Sung-Won Choi, the world champion, Dong-Koong Kang, Jae-Ho Cho, Jung-Han Heo and Choong-Bok Lee are among the main competitors for the ranking leader.
The tournament can be cancelled because of the Mers virus in South Korea.

June 27-28
French final weekend playoffs three cushion
The leaders in the French league three cushion meet in the final weekend of the playoffs. The defending champion Andernos is hosting the tournament in Archachon. Andernos faces Saint-Maur in the semi-finals, in the other semi-final plays Laxou against CetSi Morangis.

July 6 to 20
World Cup in Porto
The second World Cup of the year will be played in Porto from 6 to July 12. Dick Jaspers, who played the final last year against Roland Forthomme, is the defending champion. The Dutchman won the first World Cup in Luxor this year in an impressive final against HaengJik Kim: 40 in 8 innings, the best final ever in a World Cup. Torbjörn Blomdahl defends his first position at the world ranking in the Portuguese city, where the tournament is played close to the fantastic football stadium.

July 21 to 26
Verhoeven Open in New York
The Carom Cafe in New York is the location of the Verhoeven Open from 21 to 26 July. The legendary Sang Chun Lee was the founder of the Carom Café, the the tournament was named after him for years.
Torbjörn Blomdahl was the unbeaten winner last year. Many top players travel to the Big Apple the last few years. This year are among the participants, the world champion Sung-Won Choi, Frédéric Caudron, Eddy Merckx, Dick Jaspers, Raymond Ceulemans and other famous players of current three-cushion.

August 10 to 16
World Cup in Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam)
The world top is moving to the other side of the world for the third World Cup of the season. The Vienamese city of Ho Chi Minh, formerly known as Saigon, is one of the fastest growing cities in the world and is hosting the first World Cup tournament to be played in Vietnam.

Superprestige in Lommel (Belgium)
The sixteen best players of the ranking in Belgium meet as usual in the Superprestige in Lommel, where Eddy Leppens himself is the excellent host and organizer for several years. The Superprestige is one of the main and most prestigious tournaments in Belgium.
The Belgian champion and cup holder himself is a big contender for the victory, but also deals with the organizational essentials. That makes the world class player Leppens unique for this tournament.
