LAUSANNE - For the top of the three cushion players there is a new international tournament coming up. From March 2013 and thereafter every year the Lausanne Billiards Masters will be organized. Eight of the best players in the world will be invited, two Swiss players will complete the field.
The news was announced by Diane Wild, board member of the CEB and three years ago organizer of the three-cushion world championship in Lausanne.
The first edition of the Lausanne Billard Masters will be held from 15 to 17 March 2013. Thereafter the tournament will be every year on the calendar. The second edition is in November 2014.
There will be invited eight players from seven different countries. Six players belong to the top of the world ranking, maximum one per country. Furthermore, two Swiss players will be invited.
The tournament will be held in the Casino de Montbenon in Lausanne.
