Johan Loncelle risques a suspension of eight years until for life.

REUSEL - The Belgian Johan Loncelle has been suspended immediately by the Dutch Billard federation after the positive doping test in November last year. The KNBB revealed the decision after Loncelle had played last week in the Dutch league with his team from De Vrachtkar from Reusel.

The verdict in the affair is in the hands of the Institute for Sports Law, but in the meantime Loncelle is allowed to play in the leagues in the Netherlands and Belgium. The KNBB has prevented that he plays in the next weeks, to the astonishment of Jan van Lierop, the owner of De Vrachtkar. He assumes that the Billard federation acted under pressure of publicity.

The affair Loncelle, who already once before was caught on the use of cocaine in 2006, then received a suspension of two years. The affair also gave some commotion in the team of De Vrachtkar. Team leader Piet Blankers, who had announced that Loncelle was put on inactive, retired after Jan van Lierop had decided to let Loncelle play again. Loncelle last weekend won his match in the league.

The Belgian was also playing in his own country for the team of 't Lammeken in Ghent.

The final decision from the Institute for Sports Law can not be far away. The expectation is that Loncelle, in case he is definitly positive, he can be suspended for a period of eight years until for life.
