Lütfi Cenet takes another win in GP in Turkey

DIYARBAKIR - With his victory in the Grand Prix in Diyarbakir, Lütfi Cenet showed his good form: the Turkish star player defeated Ahmet Alp in the final. It was his third tournament win in his home country this year. ,,I look forward to the World Cup in La Baule'', said Cenet, who earned around 2000 euros with the win in this Grand Prix.

The tournament in Diyarbakir, one hour by plane from Istanbul, was played with 168 players, of whom eight were qualified for the final rounds. Lütfi Cenet, Ahmet Alp, Can Capak and Birol Uymaz remained for the semifinals. Tayfun Tasdemir was eliminated by Uymaz in the quarterfinals.

Cenet reached the final by a victory over Uymaz (40-37 in 24), Ahmet Alp took the win against Can Capak: the regular match ended in 40-40 (22 innings), Alp was the better in the shootout: 3-2.
Cenet was the best to the finish line with a win over Alp in the final 40-33 in 24 innings.
