Lütfi Cenet winner in final against Savas Bulut

ERZINCAN CITY - In the northern Turkish town of Erzincan City, Lütfi Cenet has won the second Grand Prix tournament of this season. The new number one ranked player in Turkey defeated Savas Bulut in the final from the penalty spots. Bulut had finished the match at 35-35 with a run of five, Cenet then equalized with five. The first penalty shots ended 2-2, then Bulut missed and Cenet won 1-0.

The first Grand Prix of four, that must appoint four players for the national teams at the end of the year, was won by Can Capak in a final against Cenet. That tournament was played in Antalya. The locations for the two other Grand Prix tournaments (the third with 86, the fourth with 32 players) are not yet known.

The former European junior champion Omer Karakurt was one of the stars in the second tournament. In the run up to the final day, he eliminated Tayfun Tasdemir 40-35 and in the early rounds Murat Naci Coklu. In the semi-finals Karakurt was defeated by Savas Bulut with penalty's. Lütfi Cenet won the other semi-final vs Can Capak 40-32.

Adnan Yüksel was eliminated by Can Capak in the quarterfinals. Semih Sayginer lost to Hakan Incekara with penalty's (4-0).
