Thorsten Frings shone with a run of fifteen on the first day of the league.

OOSTERHOUT - The spectacle was already there on the first day the league. The team of Frans Bevers is the first leader in the ranking, it was the only team with eight matchpoints.

Ad Broeders is one of the players under the top in the Netherlands. He worked for many years as a postman and sometimes had a peak at the billiard. Now Broeders is living from his sport: he has a shop with equipment and is a billiard teacher for some young and older players.

His team, DKM Tools from Oosterhout, missed the first match points for the competition, the team lost 6-2. Ad Broeders won his match against Harry van der Ven due to the high run of seventeen in the fourteenth inning. The other matches were lost. Dekker Keukens made a half misstep in hismatch against Van de Broek/Hanbat: the endscore was 4-4 in Utrecht, thanks to victories for Jérémy Bury and Therese Klompenhouwer. The Frenchman Bury had to catch up after a quick start of his opponent. Philipoom made a run of eleven from the break. Bury took the advantage on a score of 36-35 with runs of eight and six. He won 50-35 in 29 innings. John Tijssens and Gerwin Valentijn both won their matches in 32 innings.

Dion Nelin had a flashy final rush for A1 Biljarts in his duel with Christian Rudolph. The Dane finished the match with a riun of eleven on a score of 42-39 for the German. There was a lot of tension in the match between Dave van Geel and Martien van der Spoel, which was won by Dave van Geel. Martien van der Spoel had a good finish with 6, 8, 9 and 5, but Van Geel finished with four. A1 Biljarts won the match 6-2.

Berendhaus/Horeca, another debutant, started with a 5-3 victory against De Hazelaar, which teams has moved to another location after problems with the previous sponsor. Thorsten Frings excelled with a run of fifteen, but nevertheless finished with a tie against Wesley de Jaeger.
