Many highlights on the way to main tournament

Murat Naci Coklu, highest run, best average, but also elimination

The first win of the day was for a Belgian (Forthomme) and a Frenchman (Barbeillon), the last for the Italian Emilio Sciacca. The match in straight sets on billiard one, with an average of 1,500 for Sciacca, was the culmination of a day full of surprises and a lot of great, attractive matches full of tension.

The elimination of Murat Naci Coklu by Jérôme Barbaillon, even with a maximum run of fifteen of the Turk, was one of the highlights. There was a lot of tention in the match between Glenn Hofman and Ruben Legazpi, which was decided in the third set. The Spaniard remained cool until the end and won 2-1. Barry Beers finished in his match with Rudolph with a tremendous average of 1.717, In this poule, by the way, Ad Koorevaar didn't appear for his match against Rudolph.

Tonny Carlsen rushed over Kang Dong Gung (2-0) after a difficult start of the tournament. Savas Bulut was beaten in the first set by Raimond Burgman,but then forced the win in the other sets: 15-11 and 15-8.
