Martin Horn, again a sparkling performance in Belgium.

ZOERSEL - Seven matches with only wins, an impressive average (2.380), a highest run of 24 and last night again an excellent match wit a run of 18 in his duel with Roland Forthomme in 19 innings (50-22). Martin Horn is the absolute star in the Belgian league every week.

The German grandmaster misses the Dutch league this year, but isn't suffering the lack of international matches. In Belgium, where he plays for The Ploeg, he is the best by far in the league with twelve teams.

Horn won all his matches, starting against Anno de Kleine (50 in 26 innings), Kurt Ceulemans (29), Patrick Kesteloot (14), Eddy Merckx (21), Ronny Brants (19), Dion Nelin (19) and last night Roland Forthomme (19) .

The team of De Ploeg needed the victory of his frontman against KBC Zanzibar, which team is one of the competitors in the battle for the title. The two teams were in balance after four matches. Jef Philipoom lost against Jimmy Mues with a difference of one carom, Jean van Erp defeated Kenny Miatton, Martin Janssen won the match against Wesley de Jaeger. Jean van Erp also can be satisfied with his league start in Belgium. The Dutchman has averaged 1.673 in seven matches.

BC Biljart Express and Quality Zele shared the points in Turnhout, where Frans van Kuyk won against Eddy Merckx (50-48 in 34) and Guy van Litsenborg defeated for his own team Dirk Vlerick. Zele equalized thanks to Peter de Backer and Glenn Hofman. The young Dutchman, who was disappointing in the Agipi Masters, had apparently recovered from the downturn. He defeated Martin Spoormans 42-32 in 21.

KBC Kortrijk won the match in the lower regions against BC Lugo 6-2. Cédric Melnytschenko was the best man in the Kortrijk team, beating Marc Janssen with 1.750 average.
