Martin Horn eliminated the world champioen Dick Jaspers.

The verdict over the top players in the Suwon World Cup is nearly felled. Also, Dick Jaspers, the world champion and number one in the world, has been eliminated in the first round of the eighth final this morning. The German player Martin Horn was a bridge too far: 15-11, 15-4, 15-13 (averages 1.730/1.120).

Jaspers played far belov the level that he's used to do, his opponent dominated the whole game. The avid Horn came out strong from the start and then kept the initiative until the end.

Ruben Legazpi reached the quarterfinals by a victory over Tayfun Tasdemir. The Spaniard, on his very best already since the last qualifying round, won 3-1 and averaged 1.727.

Torbörn Blomdahl is one of the favorites that is left: the Swede defeated Seung Jin Lee, 3-1.
