Martin Horn took two wins on the first day and finished with an excellent match against Michael Nilsson.

The party of Martin Horn, the German who today celebrated his 40th birthday in Schiltigheim, ended with a glorious demonstration of his class this evening. The double winner on the first day finished his match against Michael Nilsson with a 50-30 score in only fifteen innings and with 3.333 average. The prospect on the final round is riant, especially because Horn also has an excellent average after two matches.

It was a little bit strange that the high runs of Horn three times stagnated at nine, where a bonus of five hundred euro is given for a run of ten. Horn made his nines in the second, fifth and tenth inning. The tenth point, he said later, each time was quite difficult to make. ,,And perhaps it's also a bit psychologically'', he said, ,,that it's slightly different to make your tenth point, but I do not feel it as a special pressure.''

Michael Nilsson, the loser, could not blame himself at all. The Swede made thirty points in fifteen innings, so an average of 2,000 exactly.

The demonstration of Martin Horn is not coincidence at all, in the leagues in which he plays, he played almost every week averages of 2.000 and more. The German looks to be in top form, he also realizes himself, at the very moment that he likes to score in the Agipi Masters.

,,I have a wonderful feeling after these two matches'', he explained. ,,Tomorrow I play against Javier Palazón, a wonderful young player, but first I'm gonna enjoy this evening with a drink on my birthday'', he said after his match.

The level of the two matches in the evening session was extremely high, because also in the match between Marco Zanetti and Javier Palazón the crowd could enjoy many delights and beautiful billiard. Zanetti was the winner, including a run of twelve in the eighth inning. He dominated the match from that moment and finished under twenty innings: 50-39 in 19 innings.

Zanetti took an average of 2.632, Palazón 2.053. That means that none of the four players in the evening session finished under 2.000 average.

Martin Horn is the leader of the B-group after two sessions. Marco Zanetti also made an excellent start in the tournament. Javier Palazón still has good chances, Michael Nilsson is almost out after two losses. Tayfun Tasdemir has played only one match, he lost to Martin Horn, but he is still in for a place in the final rounds.

Tomorrow at 15.00 Marco Zanetti playes against Tayfun Tasdemir in this group and Martin Horn meets Javier Palazón.
