ESSEN - The plane is hanging high in the sky between Frankfurt and Seoul (Korea) at that moment. Martin Horn is on his way to play the World Cup in Suwon. The Germans number one in three cushion is focussing on the upcoming tournament. The mental preparation of a professional player, let's say, a top player like Martin Horn certainly is one.
His philosophy at the billiard in a tournament? ,,I concentrate on my game, I believe in my strengths and the most important is always the focus on the next point.''
He is in deep thoughts, during the flight. And then... about halfway between Frankfurt and Seoul, he suddenly begins to dream of something wonderful. The next holiday, a new car, the next Champions League match of FC Schalke and so on.
He knows at some moment he can realize these thoughts. ,,But what about the people, the children, who have many, many dreams too, but unfortunately are not able to realize them without help?''
Martin gets a wonderful idea. ,,What can I, or what can we do for children, who have so many bad luck in their life, for instance because they are seriously ill? How can we give the small, bright eyes some kind of glittering, with an encounter with a star, sleeping in a tree house or playing on electric drums?''
,,What can I, as a professional billiard player, do to help these children?'' Martin got inspired by the site www.kindertraeume and makes himself a promise.
From now on, in all competitions (for the leagues, the German championship, the European and World championships, the World Cups, the Agipi Masters etc.) Martin will donate twenty euros for each run of ten and more to the organization that is committed to seriously ill children to wish a dream come true.

Unfortunately, so he had to conclude after the World Cup in Suwon, his first run of ten hasn't been made there. ,,I made a run of nine and missed the tenth, sorry for that...''
But we're all convinced that Martin will make a lot of high runs in the next season. We will all support him in doing that.
