Eddy Merckx and Frédéric Caudron in a Belgian clash to close the regular season

PARIS - The sixth and final day at the French team competition is launched by the battle between CetSi Morangis and Retro Club Colmar on Friday, March 27. The sessions are planned for 17.30 and 19.30 and will be broadcast live by Kozoom. The highlight is the contest between the two Belgian world champions in Viersen, Eddy Merckx and Frédéric Caudron.

The schedule: Eddy Merckx against Frédéric Caudron, Eddy Leppens vs Andreas Efler, Richard Bitalis against Jérôme Riotto and Jean Reverchon vs Maxime Panaia.
Eddy Merckx is the second best number one this season so far with four wins out of five and 2.008 average. The best number one is Torbjörn Blomdahl (Laxou) with 10 match points out of five and 2.252 average.

Frédéric Caudron is third of the leading players with three wins out of five and 1.771. Eddy Leppens is the fifth of the players on position two with two wins out of five and 1.237 average.

The young player Maxime Panaia makes his debut in the premier class.

The regular competition in Group A will end with the meeting Andernos-Albert on 9th of April. The two positions on top are known: Andernos is the number one (8 match points, 28 game points) ahead of CetSi with six match points and 24 game points.
