Mexicans battle for title and place Pan-Americans

The Mexican championship from 16-22 of May in Mexico city

MEXICO CITY - With Javier Vera as top favourite and five-time winner, the Mexican three cushion championship is played this week in Mexico city. The main goal fort he players in this championship is not only to gain the title, also participation at the Pan-American championships, which will probably be played in Peru this year. The Mexican championship started today (May 16) and lasts until Sunday, May 22. The venue is the Billarin Club. The main contenders, with Javier Vera on top, who took the title in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015, are:

X Raymundo Muñoz, third at the Pan American championship both individual and team.

X Alan Campos, third at the Pan American for teams with Mexico.

X Jorge Baron, winner of five Mexican titles

X Adrian Garcia, second in Mexico

X Jose Luis Lopez, runner-up

X Christian Hernandez Padilla, ranked fifth nationally

X Felix Bautista, third place nationally.

A total of 64 players are on the players list of the tournament, which is organized by the Mexican federation headed by president Norberto Sanchez and sports director Luciano Dominguez.
