Mister 100 and Bart Ceulemans have launched the final sprint

ANTWERP - The leader in the rank was under fire, the main rival used its best guns and in the lower part, Mister 100 launched the final run. That was the fifteenth round of the Belgian league in a nutshell.

Eddy Leppens was the only player who showed up over two average, neither it was the round of the high runs: only Caudron and Leppens, the frontmen of De Goeie Queueu, scored over ten (both eleven).

De Goeie Queue couldn't grab the full win in its match against Op de Meir 2. The team was even 4-0 behind at the break, because Peter Ceulemans was two points down against Ivan Stitschinski (42-40 in 34) and Michel Camp lost to Koen van Camp 42-25 in 36.

Therefor the pressure was pretty high for Frédéric Caudron and Eddy Leppens, but the fixtures of the team secured one point by victories against Barry van Beers (50-26 in 26) and Roland Uytdewilligen (50-31 in 24).

BC Deurne benefited from the little misstep and came one point closer. De Goeie Queue leads with 25 points now, with only seven matches to go. BC Deurne is at 24, followed by De Ploeg with 21.

Dick Jaspers and Eddy Merckx headed their team in De Witte Molen in Sint Niklaas and led Deurne to the maximum win (6-2) with victories against Glenn Hoffman (50-45 in 28) and Francis Forton (50-44 in 31). Before the break, Jean Paul de Bruijn beat Ad Broeders and Davy van Havere lost to Ronny Brants.

BC De Ploeg managed to get around a feared cliff: Biljart Express was defeated 6-2. Martin Horn won the top clash with Frans van Kuijk 50-45 in 33 innings, Jean van Erp seemed to be recovered from the shock on Sunday when he was beaten by Anno de Kleine 50-7 in 9 inings and now defeated Martin Spoormans 42-31 in 28.

KBC Zanzibar took the maximum profit against BC De Ploeg 2 with Pierre Soumagne as best man (1.448). BC Herentals defeated KBC Kortrijk 6-2, the team that remained at the bottom of the ranking.

There, in the zone of danger, Mister 100 Lier has launched its final sprint. The 'Ceulemans team' won the away match against one of the competitors at the bottom, BC Meir 1, 6-2. Kurt and Raymond Ceulemans led the team with averages of 1.470 and 1.354 against Wim van Cromvoirt and Rudy de Laet.

Bart Ceulemans beat the veteran Henk Habraken, Koen Ceulemans had a complete off day against Marc Roofthooft (42-11 in 25).
