Dominique Béton, the vice president, will lead the French federation until the new elections.

PARIS- The leagues have been finished in most of the countries, after the Juanjo Trilles Challenge it will be a long summer and we're  waiting for the World championships in Porto, but in the boards of some federations there're a lot of commotion.

In the Netherlands there is a conflict between the KNBB board and the Section carom, in Spain there is considerable disagreement between the board and the Players Association ABE, there are lots of rumours in Italy, in Germany and in France the chairman has suddenly resigned.

Christophe Zeidel, the successor of Claude Fath in april 2011, has lay down his function without further explanation. He will be replaced by Dominique Béton, the vice chairman, until the new elections on 9 December this year. The decision to stop was totally unexpected.

The most notable decision the outgoing president has taken, was the abolition of the paper magazine Sport Billard, which was replaced by a digital version.

Christophe Zeidel's policy for the future of French billiards was not unanimously shared by other board members. The expectation therefor was that some other candidates for the presidency would register for the meeting at the end of the year. That's am unique situation within the FFB, where in the past twenty years presidents were always re-elected without opposition candidacy.
