DUISBURG - The German billard federation has announced the schedule for the new season in three cushion. The battle for the title in the highest league, the 1st Bundesliga, promises to turn into another exciting fight. BC Elversberg returns and is a competitor for the defending champion, BCC Witten. The main change is that each team may play with two foreign players in its line-up.
The champion BCC Witten has been weakened by the departure of Stefan Galla. GT Buer is therefore an important competitor for the title. Bergisch Gladbach also prepares to make a shot at the title.
The line-ups with foreign players is a subject of discussion already for a few years in the bundesliga, where three German players were allowed to play and one foreign player. The DBU has increased that for this year with two foreign players.
The teams have the opportunity to announce their players list until August 15.
The teams in the 1st bundesliga:
BCC Witten, Bergisch Gladbacher BC, BSV Velbert, BC GT Buer, Bottroper BA, Ravensburger BC, Bfr. Sterkrade, BSV München, BG RW Krefeld, BC Elversberg.
The first playing rounds are at September 20 and 21.
The first round: BC Elversberg - Bottroper BA, B. Gladbacher BC - BC GT Buer, BSV München - BCC Witten, Ravensburger BC - BSV Velbert, Bfr. Sterkrade - BG RW Krefeld
