SLUISKIL - Mister Jean Claude Dupont, president of the UMB (World billiard federation) soon expects to welcome a new confederation for carambole billiard. He announced the news during a pressconference in Sluiskil for the World Championship that is coming up from 20-24 Oktober. The new confederation is Oceania, where some Korean players started up some clubs and want to participate in the UMB.
,,We expect to make it clear and will announce it during the UMB Congress and General assembly in Madrid, 28-30 Oktober, because we are in a far stadium of negotiation'', he said. He also told that the new cyclus of Worldcups will be clear in Madrid.
,,We have a lot of confidence in the organization of Sluiskil'', he said. ,,We did not know this place at all, before they started organizing the Worldcups. And now we are here to look forward to the World Championship, which will be a great event, I'm sure.''
